Project Overview //
FACESS (Freeing American Children from Exploitation and Sexual Slavery) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the care of young girls who have been resced from sex trafficking and slavery here in the United States. It is an unfortunate misconception that this is not a problem that occurs in the U.S. But the truth is that the victims of child-sex-trafficking are from every state and every walk of life.
The fact is that over the last 25 years, this has become the third fastest growing crime in the United States. The FBI identified and recovered 850 children from sex-trafficking in 2009. There are more than 30,000 children forced into sexual slavery yet to be rescued. The average age of these children is 13 years old. Victims are recovered daily by law-enforcement, FBI, and The Department of Homeland Security.
With our current infrastructure, we are capable for caring for up to 200 rescued children. We provide a loving, caring, family atmosphere that will meet the following needs for these children:
How Capture Was Involved //
Capture came along side of FACESS in hopes of helping them gain exposure and generate alternate revenue for their current projects.
Project Outcome //
Created a garment and sold it thought Salt & Steel Collective. Made many social media pushes as well as sales to help promote FACESS.
